Energy Conservation

Energy Conservation

November marks the point in the year when the cold begins to set in! Brrrr! Daylight savings ended on November 3rd, the clocks went back.  The holiday season officially kicks off with Thanksgiving. As you gather around the dinner table with family and friends be thankful and grateful for all that you have, even if all that you have isn’t nearly all that you want. Having gratitude for what we have in the present moment manifests into future outcomes. Think about this when it comes down your final quarter goals.

Press Pause

As we wind down toward the end of 2019, these last two months should be a time to press pause, and for quiet reflection. Compare and contrast where you were at the beginning of the year versus where you are now. Tie up any loose ends and unfinished business/personal tasks, and then…take a much deserved break! We all need time for renewal and our minds/bodies to be rejuvenated.

Conserve Energy

Rest and relaxation is not only good for our mental health, it increases productivity, improves focus and creativity. Rest and relaxation is the reset we all need so when the new year rings in, we’ll be rested, our minds will be clear and we’ll be energetically ready to get started on our 2020 goals.

When animals hibernate during the cold dark winter months, they turn down their metabolisms to save energy. Their breathing and heart rates slow and they allow their body temperature to drop. Hibernation is an adaptation that helps animals conserve energy by remaining inactive. We can learn a lot from the animal world!

I hope you’ll take the final months of the 4th Quarter of 2019 for quiet reflection and time out for self care. Rest your mind, conserve your energy…we got big goals for 2020!

But for now, enjoy time with family and friends this Thanksgiving. Give thanks and have gratitude, for yourself and all that you’ve achieved this year, for others who either came into your life or left your life (we got no room for toxic behaviors in 2020), and for all that has yet to come!

Be great! The world needs more of that!

XO ~ Gillian
