How To Be A Goal Achiever

How To Be A Goal Achiever

March is the turning point. The actual New Year. The last month of the first quarter of the year, the change of seasons from winter to spring. Renewal. Transformation. New beginnings.

March 4th my book How To Be A Goal Achiever will officially be available at Book Baby, Amazon, and Barnes and Nobles (it’s been on presale since January). Yep . I’m an author.

How To Be A Goal Achiever is a system on setting goals, staying focus and being motivated on achieving your goals. This system will make your goals achievable, as it’s designed to take one big goal you can accomplish in a year, broken into quarterly goals. You’ll write out your goal, create an action plan, and record your results: Goals + Action = Results.

Oh…did I mention the book is football themed? Each quarter brings you closer to the end zone - the 4th quarter.

Big Picture Goal

This is the overall goal. The goal you believe you can achieve within a year’s time. This is the goal you will then break down into smaller goals quarterly. Why quarters? In business the calendar year is divided into quarters, seasons are quarterly, games are divided into quarters. Four quarters in math/money equates to one whole. A cycle of completion. Breaking one big goal into smaller goals makes it more attainable.

You’ll “Kick Off!” the 1st quarter January - March and begin writing out your smaller goals, achievable in 3 months. There’s a To Do page, to write out tasks aligned with your “Action Plan,” and a “doodle pad,” to write out your thoughts and inspiration, every month.

After the “1st Down,” you’ll move into the second quarter, April - June; your 6 month goals.

Review. Revise. Rewrite

At the second half of the year, “Half Time,” you’ll pause to reflect on your goals to ensure you remain on task toward the direction of your Big Picture Goal. At the “2nd Half,” July - September you’ll continue to write your 9 month goals, having revised and/or reprioritized goals from the 1st and 2nd quarter. In some cases, you may need to remove a goal that proves not to be in direct correlation with the Big Picture Goal.

The 4th quarter, October - December, you’ve made a “Touchdown.” These are your 12 month goals. The “End Zone.”

Plan. Plot. Strategize.

Once you’ve made it to the End Zone, you will reflect on the year’s goals, what you accomplished, what you still need to accomplish and begin the process again for next year’s goals.

How To Be A Goal Achiever is the system set up for you, so that you can continue to write your goals out in this way. Setting goals is the easy part, accomplishing them proves to be challenging, because when goals aren’t organized, you become overwhelmed, become unmotivated, and lose focus.

If you’re serious about achieving your goals, get the book! It will change the way you write your goals.

“Setting a goal is not the main thing. It is deciding how you will go about achieving it and staying with that plan.” Tom Landry
